RANK 1 NSW BAND 6 VA EXTENSIVE NOTES

Hi! I achieved a 94.65 atar, got into Art Express with my Visual Art Major-work and ranked no.1 in NSW for VA as I got 99% on my final exam. I have attached my notes and content dot points on how to ace the HSC VA section 1 (i used these when revising) as well as included the entirety of my Section 2 Essay in an 'easy to memorise' table which divides the paragraphs up into multiple parts. Section 1 notes includes a breakdown of key art eras throughout history, their conventions, media, purpose etc. as well as a breakdown of the focus areas (Frames, Conceptual framework, Practice) and in depth analysis of the conventions of a wide range of different art mediums. My section 2 essay includes 3 artists (Modernist– Edouard Manet, Postmodernist– Jeff Koons, YBA– Jenny Saville) and many different artworks, all with top-notch analysis. My essay goes beyond the basic analysis of syllabus artists as it compares and contrasts different the artists of varying Gender, Context, Purpose, Age and medium.
